2009-2010 Indoor Soccer Rules                                        11/20/08  

1. Size 4 futsal balls will be used for U-9 to U-12 play, and size 5 balls for U-13 +

2. Games on a third field will play 5v5 (4+GK); half field will play 6v6 (5+GK); full field will play 8v8 (7+GK).

3. Either team may substitute on goal restarts, goal kicks, throw-ins and corners, unless the referee has notified the coaches about a different pattern in order to improve the speed of play.

4. Goalie cannot punt, drop kick or throw past mid-field. Indirect kick awarded at mid field for the other team.

5. Players must wear sneakers, indoor soccer footwear, or turf shoes, and shin guards are mandatory. NO SOCCER CLEATS WILL BE ALLOWED.

6. Respect all Referee calls as final. Coach sportsmanship is important.

7. Games will be 50 minutes in length, run as 2 25 minute halves, with a 2 minute half time.  A horn will denote the start and end of each half. Please help us remove any injured player as quickly as possible as we are unable to grant extended injury time.

8. Balls on goal kicks cannot cross half field- indirect kick awarded at mid field for the other team.

9. Any ball hitting any light or bubble in the field of play is considered in play unless ruled as out of play by the referee, resulting in an indirect free kick for the other team from the point of the infraction. BALLS HITTING THE BUBBLE BY THE END LINE WILL BE RULED OUT OF PLAY.

10. There is no off-side rule on the third or half field. Full field games include the offside rule.

11. All restarts, except penalty kicks, will be indirect. Opposing players must give 5 yards on all restarts.

12. Penalty kicks will be taken at a spot and in a fashion determined by the referee.

13. Touch lines on the inside field markers will be the nets. All sideline restarts (throw-ins) on less than full-field will be indirect kicks.

14. NO SLIDE TACKLES ARE ALLOWED. The Referee may require a player to leave the field, either temporarily or for the remainder of play for multiple infractions.

15. All other FIFA rules apply. NO SPITTING.

16. Players/coaches that receive a Red Card cannot participate for the next 2 games.  2 Red Cards will result in permanent dismissal from the program. Referees have discretion to force the substitution of a player in place of issuing a yellow card.

17. Armonk Indoor promotes positive coaching, and reserves the right to ensure that the program gets the support of all participants.

18. Forfeited games will result in a 3-0 loss and a 3 point deduction.

19. Teams will only be credited with a maximum 6 goal differential. Teams who score more than 8 goal differentials may be subject to a 3 point penalty. 

Armonk Indoor must have copies of official team rosters, or documentation of league registration before the first game.  WYSL, AYSO and other league Registration forms are accepted.  Roster changes can be approved by the Director. 

 Tiebreakers in league standings will be 1) Total goal differential, 2) won-loss record against each other and 3) record against higher ranked teams.
